In 2023, filmmaker Emile Dominé followed Nouria Newman, Jules Dominé, and Maël Nguyen into the Rondu Gorge of the Indus River in Pakistan. The result was Big Water Theory, an award-winning documentary that pieces together the complex decision-making behind big water paddling. In this feature, Emile shares what unfolded behind the scenes, and the lessons he took away from it.
