STAND UP PADDLE WORLD ISSUE #8 2017

THE RAPA NUI EXPERIENCE
When Manu Bouvet and family join the Race for Water Odyssey on Rapa Nui they find more than perfect waves and empty line-ups. There, on the most remote, inhabited shores in the world, they see first-hand the shocking reach and impact of micro-plastic pollution.
FINDING ANGOLA
Can SUP and surf bridge socio-economic chasms? Franz Orsi teams up with SUPKids founder Linzi Hawkins and the Kionda Surf School to introduce the next generation of Angolan paddlers to SUP in attempt to find out.
THE TARA RIVER SUP PROJECT
A self-support SUP mission down the second deepest canyon in the world. Nicolas Fayol leads a team down 150 kilometers of the Tara River Canyon, paddling from its origins at the confluence of the Opasnica and Veruša rivers to the Bosnian-Montenegrin border in five days.
THE GLAGLA RACE
Alpine Lakes Tour founder Benoit Mouren shares why over 300 paddlers from around the world brave the freezing January temperatures of the French Alps to participate in the annual GlaGla Race.
